It has most definitely been awhile since I have last talked about anime. And today will be the first time I talk about manga!
So what have I been watching?
Case Closed: Still watching this cute gem. How can you not love this cute little boy? Yes, I know he’s not actually a little boy but he’s absolutely adorable! I really enjoy the mystery of what’s actually happened in the particular case of that particular episode and the looks on the adult’s faces when Conan figures it out and lays it out to them like it was stupid simple and right in front of them the entire time. The voice acting is quite good as well. It’s believable AND the Japanese voice actors don’t get annoying with their voices. Something I find personally to happen with at least one character!
Sonic X: This show is one of the reason why I got Hulu in the first place and I’m only now getting to it. And I’ve had Hulu for a couple of years now. I know, I’m bad. I remember as a kid purposely getting up early to watch it when it was on Saturday morning cartoons. I have always loved Sonic and found myself really enjoying the show. I still find the show to be enjoyable. But some of the characters are far more annoying to me now. Like Big the Cat. Though I do find him very endearing and lovable I still can’t stand him.
Now what have I been reading?
Sword Art Online: So the other night I stumbled upon the novels of Sword Art and was shocked. I had no idea these even existed so of course I picked up the first one. I’m only a little bit of the way in and I have to say, I really enjoy it. It’s different, of course, but still true to what I’ve watched in the anime which makes me very happy. I find that if things are too similar I find myself disappointed because I love the differences between book and screen. It keeps it fresh, gives different perspectives and gives it a more whole-istic (:P) view afterwards in my opinion. I will let you know more once I get further in!
Death Note: I recently have been picking up the Death Note black editions because I’ve always wanted to own the manga and found these to be the best looking of them for my shelf. It’s all about aesthetics. At least that’s a big part for me. 😀 I have watched part of the anime; I never finished it because of reason, not good ones but reasons, and I really enjoyed the anime so it made me really want to read the manga. And own it, obviously. I don’t know what it is but I always enjoy the manga better than the anime. I don’t know if it’s because it has more free range or what but I do. And this is no exception. So much better.
What have you been reading and watching? What should I get into next? Let me know!
Stay classy and sassy, loves!
