Trying New Things

Directional shift of the blog!

Hello and welcome back y’all!

Let’s take care of a little bit of business real quick here. So Monday I hit a milestone… 100 POSTS! What?! 100. Posts. Holy crap that is so many. Wow. I can’t believe it. I would have never thought that I would be at this point. Especially because I was terrified to take the leap to start this blog. But I’ve done it. Here we are! And I want to thank you all for it. I couldn’t have done it without your support. You guys reading my content are the reason why I continue to do this. So thank you.

I know that lately I’ve been doing more creative things instead of my “typical” content. To be completely honest I’ve been enjoying it a lot more. It’s been a struggle but in a completely different way rather than what I was doing before. It’s causing my creative juices to flow and to flow a lot more. With that being said I’ve been wanting to try some new things in the creative sense.

I officially want to try to being a creative blogger. I don’t know exactly what that is going to entail but that’s what I want to be. I want to challenge myself creatively. With my writing, my crafts and drawing.

Woah, wait, crafts and drawing?

Yeah.

I want to start drawing more and sharing those with you. Good or bad. Hopefully they’re good. For my sake! Ideally I’d share my drawings and either together or completely me, make a short story or poem or some sort of writing along with it. Or it be stand alone work. These are all just ideas being thrown out here.

As far as crafts go, I’d really enjoy sharing my journey of making things and exploring new crafting types, like crochet, refinishing things, sewing, cross-stitching, etc. It’d be fun. Or terrible. I will be showing my success AND my fails. So be ready for some frustrated posts! 😛

What do you guys what to see? What do you suggest I do or try? Like these ideas? (If I hear nothing I will assume you all LOOOOOVE these ideas!)

Stay classy and sassy ❤

Kawaii Mason Jar Organizer DIY!

How to make super cute mason jar organizers!

Hello and welcome back! It’s been quite awhile since my last DIY post!

So today, I am going to show you how to make these:

What you will need is this:

*Make sure to choose jars with raised writing on only one side*

First step is to remove the lid of the jar and wipe your jars down with a damp rag. Let them dry completely.

Now using your acrylic paint, paint the outside of the jars with your chosen colors. You will need to do multiple coats to make sure you have a solid color all the way around. You also need to paint the lip of the jar as that may be noticeable once the lid is back on.

Once your jars have fully dries, look up kawaii faces online. A quick Google image search will more than suffice. Choose what faces you like and using a pencil, lightly sketch your chosen face onto the jar on the flat side of the jar with no raised lettering.

When you have the faces sketched, carefully paint your faces on using your sketch as a guide.

After they dry completely use a brush and paint modge podge all over the jar to set your design and seal the paint.

Now all you need to do is put the metal lid ring back on, (I don’t know the techincal term) after it dries completely, without the top and now you’re  ready to put your items in them and display your jars. I put pens, paintbrushes, pencils and scissors in mine:

If you love these and don’t want to make your own you can purchase them in my Etsy shop NerdCentral13. I can do all sorts of colors and faces so you can mix and match.

I hope you all enjoyed this DIY post! If you happen to make it show me pictures! Use #collinswoah13 or #collinswoahscorner so I am sure to see them!

Have a great weekend guys and stay classy and sassy like always ❤

Craftin’ Time!

See what crafts I’ve been working on lately!

Hello new and old friends!

So what in the heck have I been working on lately?

Great question. Well this is what I’ve been working on lately:

I know these just look like painted pots in various sizes but these little cuties are going to be Pokemon pots. In the next month or so I will be launching an Etsy shop where you’ll be able to score these soon-to-be completed beauties. I will give more details once the Etsy shop is live!

I also have been working on this:

This is something I was able to make from a heart shaped chocolate box from Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend, Mathew, got me this box and I wanted a way to keep it as a memento from our first Valentine’s Day together but I didn’t want it just be a chocolate box that made me sad every time I realized there was no chocolate in it. I know you all can relate to that. So I came up with this. We’re cute and oh so mushy and gushy and say this to each other all the time. Naturally I thought it was perfect and cute to put on this and be extra dorky and sappy. I love it and so does Mathew so that’s all that really matters here 😛

The last craft I have been kind of working on, or meaning to start, is this:

So these will be cute little kawaii storage jars for things like my paint brushes, pencils, etc. I plan on painting them the solid pastel colors you see on top of the jars and then adding kawaii faces to them. Which will make them just too cute to handle.

So what have you been working on? What do you think of these? What should I do next?

Stay classy and sassy ❤
