Look what I’ve picked up lately!
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a game haul & update!
That’s because it’s been awhile since I’ve really been game hunting for the most part.
Well, let’s see my pickups!
So this has been a collection of things over the last month or two.
My amazing boyfriend got me Cubivore, which is my holy grail. It was the most amazing anniversary present ever! THANK YOU MATHEW!!!
The rest of my pickups have been a case of “hey let’s stop in this game store or this store oh and look at that!” For the most part it’s been a case of, I never see this or I have really been trying to find this particular game.
With that being said, I have closed out my Ys. I also only need one more # game and got a couple more games closer to closing out Xs. All on my goals for this year with collecting. Plus I finally picked up the last stupid Madden game I needed. Which is a nice relief.
As you can see, I did also snag the Sonic Mania special edition. It definitely wasn’t planned. I had planned to pre-order it but time and money got away from me so I never got around to it. I happened to walk in to one of my favorite stores in the Dayton area and there it was. Calling to me. So I had to. It was fate. And like probably a law or something somewhere 😉 And I don’t see the Xbox Original Conkers too often. Plus it was a decent price so it was a why not throw that on top too? And it gets me one game closer to having my Xbox Original exclusive games completed. Well that was a mouthful. Dang.
So where am I at in my GameCube collection?
I am super duper proud to say I now have 260 games out of 661. TWO HUNDRED SIXTY GAMES! Guys, that’s a lot. Its 39.33% complete to be precise. Which is just freaky to think about. I started 2017 with the goal of getting to 30% complete and have blown that completely out of the water. Goodness gracious. THIS IS NUTS!
For those of you who don’t know I’m going for a complete GameCube collection (DUH) but I have put the stipulation on myself that I must find all the games in the wild, meaning out at stores and not online, unless gifted to me by another individual. And yes, I do have 5 Japanese exclusive games but sadly not PAL exclusives, yet.
Stay classy and sassy guys ❤
Hello and welcome back!
I told you that we would get back to normal and here we go!
PS4: Crash Bandicoot – This brought back all the nostalgia for me. I got to enjoy this with Mathew, and he had never played Crash so it was great to be able to show him a part of my childhood. I will say, some the complaining on the Internet about the game being harder than the original, I didn’t find to be all that true. The things I sucked at as a kid, I still suck at as an adult. I love the updated look to the game but the cut scenes at the beginning definitely threw me off. Overall this game lived up to all of my expectations.
PS3: Katamari Forever – After my post on Katamari Mathew and I were just itching to play Katamari. I finally had someone to play co-op and vs. with. It was great. But I think we both had more fun switching off on levels. I’ve actually only ever played Katamari traditionally, never on the drive mode. Neither had Mathew so we got to experience the chaotic-ness of that. Drive mode is where you go super fast and your ball is really hard to handle, like a super fast racecar. We both got terrible scores most of the time causing Roboking and the King to berate us. But we really expected nothing less. 😉
PC: The Inner World – This game is dystopian point and click adventure. Mathew and I made it through the first chapter-ish of the game with a few struggles. Which I was really glad for. It made me feel like a kid again when I would struggle with Putt-Putt or Spy Fox. The story is intriguing and the main character is very endearing but the not so good treatment he has endured, I find to be heartbreaking. I also loved that this point and click adventure didn’t leave out any of the fun nonsense clicks that I always loved in point and click games. ❤
PC: Euro Truck Simulator 2 – It’s crazy how quickly things leave you. Like controls and keyboard driving. I was definitely not so good going back into this. At one point I could not figure out my turn signals OR how to bring up the control menu. It was bad news bears. After a couple not so great crashes, I started to get the hang of it. Naturally that when I stopped playing. 😛 I honestly have far too much fun just driving around in a semi virtually. Great game all around. Side note: playing while drinking is next level difficulty and playing. BUT DON’T ACTUALLY DRINK AND DRIVE! 😀
Well that’s all! Lots more gaming is coming soon!!

Hello and welcome back, wonderful people!
So remember how I have a habit of loving games that sound really weird and boring when described?! Time for another one of those!
Today it’s Katamari! Yay! *cue Katamari Damacy theme song!*
For those of you who do not know what Katamari is a game where you’re a little tiny character who has an incredibly sticky ball that you use to roll things up. Why you ask? So you can help make new stars for the universe. And because the King told us to. Now you get places in the level and there are TONS of stuff to roll up. The kicker is you can only roll things up that are your size or smaller. The bigger you get, the easier it is and more stuff you can roll up BUT you have a time limit and a size requirement to reach.
Here’s a link to a YouTube video to give more clarity :P:
Katamari Gameplay! *This is not my video, just a random one I thought was good to visually show what I am trying to explain!*
So the soundtrack to these games are amazing but very catchy. You will at some point have them stuck in your head. At terrible, random times. You’re welcome 😀
The games are cute, colorful, funny and really entertaining. It’s cool to see how size really affects perspective on things.
This game is one of my go-to games when I need to relax and unwind. There’s not much stress involved. It’s very chill. Unless you make the King mad.

Check out what I’ve been playing recently!
Today is Wednesday and you know what that means! Of course you do! You saw the title 😛
PC: HuniePop – I finally bought this for myself! I love it so much but I have come to one conclusion. I suck. Like a lot. So for those who don’t know what this game is it is a dating sim – kinda. You are trying to get in to these girls’ panties and to further things along with these girls you take them on dates. To play these dates you must complete the bejeweled-like puzzles and only get a finite number of moves. So the game is a dating sim-ish puzzle game. And I’m not so good at the puzzle aspect so I fail a lot of dates 😀 Good thing this isn’t real life!
PC: Golf It! – Yes, more of this. I personally really enjoy this golf game over Golf With Your Friends for the golf aspect. Mathew however doesn’t. I think it’s because I’m better than him at this one. 😉 Yes, I just called you out babe! We did try a new map that we downloaded that claimed it was “easy,” “simple,” and required “no trick shots.” I am here to tell you. That was a lie. It was stupid annoying and quite difficult. I will never play that map again.
PC: Golf With Your Friends – Can’t have one without the other. 😛 With this golf game, I prefer to play on dunk. It’s basically all I want to play. I mean how could you not prefer the golf version of basketball. Or is that the basketball version of golf? Who cares. 🙂 I find this setting to be way fun. And sometimes I’m even almost good at it! I just want more courses with this game already. Being patient is really hard.
PC: BattleBlock Theater – My wonderful man gifted me this game so we could play together. So thank you again, Mathew! I find it fun. You can play solo or multiplayer and it’s a platformer. It kind of reminds me of Mario in the sense that you have gems to collect in the level. It differs because the levels are not side scrolling and they’re non-linear, meaning you don’t have one direct path. Many times you have to back track. And those gems you’re finding and collecting? You must find a certain number of them in order to open up the portal to complete the level. My complaint with the game is that there is no real way of knowing how many gems are in the level or how many are needed to open the portal. You only find out after the level is completed. And the number of gems per level is always changing. It sucks but it could be worse.
Android: Futurama – I have still be playing this most of the time. I have slowed down a bit but not because of losing interest in the game. I was, however, lucky enough to snag George Takei when he was available. I find that I enjoy the ship missions and combat overall the most. It’s fun and cute and I definitely recommend checking it out!
Well that’s all I have really been playing lately. What have you been playing?
Stay classy and sassy ❤
My thoughts on what I’ve been playing
Hey guys! Welcome back to yet another What I’ve Been Playing Wednesday!
PC: Typing of the Dead: Overkill – This is exactly how it sounds. A typing game where you are up against zombies. Amazing right? It really and truly is. It helps keep your typing skills sharp and also helps improve them. The story is rather interesting and extremely campy. If you enjoy B-movie horror then you’ll love this. One of the best things about this game? It has an online multiplayer mode so you can play with a friend and judge them based on their typing skills.
Android: Futurama – I know. A free-to-play mobile game. Well, I haven’t had much “sit down and play a game” time so this has been the next best thing for me. And honestly this game is one of the better phone games I’ve played. There’s of course all the traditional aspects of a free-to-play game but there’s a combat aspect in this game which is turned based and timing based. And it’s Futurama. The dialogue is on point and quite comical. It’s great to pass the time and enjoy Futurama in a different format.
Android: Castaway Paradise – For those who enjoy Animal Crossing, I really recommend this phone game! It’s very similar to Animal Crossing so far. There are cute animals with gimmicks and fun personalities, things to grow, things to clean up, errands to run, and you’re the only human around. Now I’m not too far in to the game but so far it’s a lot like Animal Crossing and has me invested. We’ll see what happens from here 😉
And that’s it. I know not much but there’s a good reason for that. My Etsy shop. I have been working on adding new items and have been lucky enough to have had a couple order which have kept me pretty busy. Check it out and if you see something buy it!

Tips on how to make old games fun and feel like new again.
Hello and welcome back guys! I hope that you all had a wonderful and safe weekend!
We all have and/or had those times where you can’t afford a new video games but are thoroughly bored with everything that you own. Well, good thing I have some tips and ideas to make those old games fun and entertaining again!
- Some of the easiest ways to change a game up is to limit how you attack; only use melee weapons, only use magic, never use magic, never melee, etc. It really makes the brain think more and old enemies are now much more of a challenge.
- Try speed running the game. See just how quickly you can make it through to the end.
- Or see how far you can get without dying and/or not using healing items. It’s even more fun when you get your friends involved to see who can make it the farthest.
- And of course there’s always the 100% runs. The perfectionist in my loves this one. Collect everything. With and/or without the strategy guides or walkthroughs, this one is most definitely a challenge.
- There’s always achievement hunting too. I, personally, like to focus on the pretty achievements games like to hang over your head. Achievement hunting can vastly change a playthrough and cause different choices and actions to be made.
- Last but not least, browse forums for the game. You’d be surprised at the game specific challenges fans can come up with. Some can even become your new and preferred play style of a game. I know that it has happened to me a time or two.

Take a look at what I’ve been playing and my opinions on them! 🙂
Wow. What a two weeks.
You’ll all be happy to know I got some great gaming in. Some good games, some not so good in the sense that they weren’t what I was expecting or looking to play at the time.
Let’s get right to it!
GameCube: Ribbit King – I don’t know what I was expecting with this game honestly but I wasn’t expecting what I got. I had always been told that if I enjoyed Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon then I’d really enjoy Ribbit King. So in my mind it’s somehow similar to the two. Well that’s just not right at all. In Ribbit King, you just play a golf like game. That’s all you do. Which is cool and great if that’s what you wanted turning it on and that’s what you expected. But I didn’t. I was just really disappointed with it. Maybe when it’s what I’m looking to play I’ll like it but for now I’m just happy to have it as part of the collection.
GameCube: Sims 2 Pets – This game turned out similar to Ribbit King for me; not what I was expecting or wanted at the time. I am just so used to Sims games on the console having a story mode and a free play mode. I personally stick to the story mode because I’d much rather play “free play mode” on the PC in the traditional Sims. So when I turned on the Sims 2 Pets and was met with no story mode I was surprised. And then I immediately turned off the game, no joke. If I wanted to play a traditional Sims game I would turn on my computer where it’s easier to control, not my GameCube.
PC: GTA V Online – I hadn’t played this in so long on the PC that I had forgotten a lot of the controls which made playing again a lot of fun. 😉 I also was finally able to play with Mathew and my family which makes the game that much more fun. I have a long way to go to get my character back to where I’m used to being but in the mean time, I’m really enjoying causing mayhem and destruction wherever I go. And I can’t forget about the random goofy glitches. Random gaggle of skydiver NPCs dropping from the sky anyone?
PC: Golf With Your Friends – So there’s a new level and a new game mode that’s been added. Like what?! YES! First let’s discuss the new level, which is a prehistoric level and it’s a lot of fun with all the twists and turns and trick shots you can make. BUT it’s really hard. As I’ve said before, the game is still in Beta so tweaks can and will be made and with a couple of these holes on this level really need it! The last level especially. It seems almost impossible to make it through with 12 strokes and two minutes. Now for the new game mode. It’s called dunk. So instead of having a hole to put your ball in to (that’s what she said, I’m not sorry, it had to be said ;)) You bounce your ball in to the basketball hoop. It’s hard because the hit area seems to be kind of flawed but it’s a lot of fun. I can’t wait to try all the levels out this way. It takes a lot of the work out of navigating through the levels. Your bounces most definitely have to be times just right through!
PC: Sims 4 – The Sims 4 Parenthood pack just came out so I, of course, had to give it a go. The Sims is getting extremely real for those of use who play with families. You now have a parenting skill you can build up! There are so many new interactions with children and it’s honestly now a lot harder to raise kids. You have all this influence over your child but at the same time there’s so many things that just aren’t in your control at all. There are not phases that your child can go through, they ask for advice, they have different things that can be influenced like emotional control, manners, etc. A lot of the time one thing will be influenced positively while something else will be influenced negatively at the same time. It’s a lot of fun and brings a lot more challenge to the Sims 4 so, as of right now I’m currently still enjoying what I’m experiencing. We will see if that changes. 😛
