What I’ve Been Playing!

Hello and welcome back!

I told you that we would get back to normal and here we go!

PS4: Crash Bandicoot – This brought back all the nostalgia for me. I got to enjoy this with Mathew, and he had never played Crash so it was great to be able to show him a part of my childhood. I will say, some the complaining on the Internet about the game being harder than the original, I didn’t find to be all that true. The things I sucked at as a kid, I still suck at as an adult. I love the updated look to the game but the cut scenes at the beginning definitely threw me off. Overall this game lived up to all of my expectations.

PS3: Katamari Forever – After my post on KatamariΒ Mathew and I were just itching to play Katamari. I finally had someone to play co-op and vs. with. It was great. But I think we both had more fun switching off on levels. I’ve actually only ever played Katamari traditionally, never on the drive mode. Neither had Mathew so we got to experience the chaotic-ness of that. Drive mode is where you go super fast and your ball is really hard to handle, like a super fast racecar. We both got terrible scores most of the time causing Roboking and the King to berate us. But we really expected nothing less. πŸ˜‰

PC: The Inner World – This game is dystopian point and click adventure. Mathew and I made it through the first chapter-ish of the game with a few struggles. Which I was really glad for. It made me feel like a kid again when I would struggle with Putt-Putt or Spy Fox. The story is intriguing and the main character is very endearing but the not so good treatment he has endured, I find to be heartbreaking. I also loved that this point and click adventure didn’t leave out any of the fun nonsense clicks that I always loved in point and click games. ❀

PC: Euro Truck Simulator 2 – It’s crazy how quickly things leave you. Like controls and keyboard driving. I was definitely not so good going back into this. At one point I could not figure out my turn signals OR how to bring up the control menu. It was bad news bears. After a couple not so great crashes, I started to get the hang of it. Naturally that when I stopped playing. πŸ˜› I honestly have far too much fun just driving around in a semi virtually. Great game all around. Side note: playing while drinking is next level difficulty and playing. BUT DON’T ACTUALLY DRINK AND DRIVE! πŸ˜€

Well that’s all! Lots more gaming is coming soon!!

What I’ve Been Playing

Check out what I’ve been playing recently!

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means! Of course you do! You saw the title πŸ˜›

PC: HuniePop – I finally bought this for myself! I love it so much but I have come to one conclusion. I suck. Like a lot. So for those who don’t know what this game is it is a dating sim – kinda. You are trying to get in to these girls’ panties and to further things along with these girls you take them on dates. To play these dates you must complete the bejeweled-like puzzles and only get a finite number of moves. So the game is a dating sim-ish puzzle game. And I’m not so good at the puzzle aspect so I fail a lot of dates πŸ˜€ Good thing this isn’t real life!

PC: Golf It! – Yes, more of this. I personally really enjoy this golf game over Golf With Your Friends for the golf aspect. Mathew however doesn’t. I think it’s because I’m better than him at this one. πŸ˜‰ Yes, I just called you out babe! We did try a new map that we downloaded that claimed it was “easy,” “simple,” and required “no trick shots.” I am here to tell you. That was a lie. It was stupid annoying and quite difficult. I willΒ never play that map again.

PC: Golf With Your Friends – Can’t have one without the other. πŸ˜› With this golf game, I prefer to play on dunk. It’s basically all I want to play. I mean how could you not prefer the golf version of basketball. Or is that the basketball version of golf? Who cares. πŸ™‚ I find this setting to be way fun. And sometimes I’m even almost good at it! I just want more courses with this game already. Being patient is really hard.

PC: BattleBlock Theater – My wonderful man gifted me this game so we could play together. So thank you again, Mathew! I find it fun. You can play solo or multiplayer and it’s a platformer. It kind of reminds me of Mario in the sense that you have gems to collect in the level. It differs because the levels are not side scrolling and they’re non-linear, meaning you don’t have one direct path. Many times you have to back track. And those gems you’re finding and collecting? You must find a certain number of them in order to open up the portal to complete the level. My complaint with the game is that there is no real way of knowing how many gems are in the level or how many are needed to open the portal. You only find out after the level is completed. And the number of gems per level is always changing. It sucks but it could be worse.

Android: Futurama – I have still be playing this most of the time. I have slowed down a bit but not because of losing interest in the game. I was, however, lucky enough to snag George Takei when he was available. I find that I enjoy the ship missions and combat overall the most. It’s fun and cute and I definitely recommend checking it out!

Well that’s all I have really been playing lately. What have you been playing?

What I’ve Been Playing

My thoughts on what I’ve been playing

Hey guys! Welcome back to yet another What I’ve Been Playing Wednesday!

PC: Typing of the Dead: Overkill – This is exactly how it sounds. A typing game where you are up against zombies. Amazing right? It really and truly is. It helps keep your typing skills Β sharp and also helps improve them. The story is rather interesting and extremely campy. If you enjoy B-movie horror then you’ll love this. One of the best things about this game? It has an online multiplayer mode so you can play with a friend and judge them based on their typing skills.

Android: Futurama – I know. A free-to-play mobile game. Well, I haven’t had much “sit down and play a game” time so this has been the next best thing for me. And honestly this game is one of the better phone games I’ve played. There’s of course all the traditional aspects of a free-to-play game butΒ there’s a combat aspect in this game which is turned based and timing based. And it’s Futurama. The dialogue is on point and quite comical. It’s great to pass the time and enjoy Futurama in a different format.

Android: Castaway Paradise – For those who enjoy Animal Crossing, I really recommend this phone game! It’s very similar to Animal Crossing so far. There are cute animals with gimmicks and fun personalities, things to grow, things to clean up, errands to run, and you’re the only human around. Now I’m not too far in to the game but so far it’s a lot like Animal Crossing and has me invested. We’ll see what happens from here πŸ˜‰

And that’s it. I know not much but there’s a good reason for that. My Etsy shop. I have been working on adding new items and have been lucky enough to have had a couple order which have kept me pretty busy. Check it out and if you see something buy it!

What I’ve Been Playing

Check out what I have been playing recently!

Hey friends! Can you believe it’s time for another What I’ve Been Playing Wednesday?! Me either.

As many of you know, the Steam Summer sale is underway and I picked up quite a few games, so naturally I have played a few of them. πŸ˜›

PC: Mainlining – This a PC hacking game. The entire game is played on a desktop of a computer. So you’re playing on a computer on your computer. So it’s like computer inception. The premise of the game is that you are working for an agency called MI7. Apparently it’s an agency that has some sort of authority because you are solving cases, which build upon each other, and arresting the perpetrator. The way in which you solve these cases is by hacking in to things and gather information as well as evidence. I personally am on case four or five of thirteen. So far I really enjoy the game a lot but I do find myself questioning that integrity of the work MI7 is doing. MI7 is putting away “bad guy” hackers by hacking… Seems just as bad and extremely hypocritical. I’m super interested in seeing how the rest of the story plays out.

PC: Golf It! – As many of you know, Mathew and I play a lot of Golf with Your Friends when we’re a part. Naturally playing the same courses over and over can get boring so we found Golf It! and picked it up. The game is very similar but very different from Golf with Your Friends. The hitting mechanic is one of the biggest differences beyond courses. Instead of having a power bar you have a putter that you pull back and then manually thrust forward in order to hit your ball which makes it difficult to judge power in your “swing.” It’s not terrible but definitely is an adjustment. The courses are similar in theme but different in actual layout, thank goodness! I also am a bit fan of the ball customization in Golf It! You are able to change color, add a hat, and change the trail of your ball. It makes it a lot more exciting. I’m a fan of the ability to make your own courses. Mathew and I downloaded a couple fan made courses last night and had an absolute blast with it. It’s still in early access but is definitely worth the buy. I highly recommend giving it a shot. Pun may or may not be intended πŸ˜‰

PC: PRICE – Guys. We all know I loveΒ my point and click games. AND THIS WAS FREE! So it’s like a horror-ish point and click. It’s creepy for sure. AND HARD! So your character wakes up in his sister’s room where he’s locked in and weird, creepy things are happening. Now this is all I can tell you as I have not made it out of the room… Maybe one day I will but so far I’m not very good. πŸ˜›

PC: Sims 4 – I have played far too much of this. Or not enough, depending on how you look at it. I have created a lot of drama for my current Sim household and watched them grow up, old and on. I forgot just how incredibly addicting this game is. I find myself trying to achieve the “perfect” Sim. One who has max skills in everything. Who achieves all lifetime aspirations and raises great kids. I feel like I’m getting closer and closer to achieving this goal with the current family I am playing so we will all see if it’s possible for me!

PS4: Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 – 358/2 Days – This is just pure cinematics so make sure to have two-ish hours set aside. I was okay with it just being cinematics because I remember playing the game on the DS and putting it down. I found the original game quite frustrating because all you did was missions and most of those resulted in being in Agrabah. Which happens to be the world I hate the most. Β So naturally the level of fun I found in the game decreased dramatically.

I can’t wait to see what world I find myself jumping in to within the next two weeks. Probably more Sims 4 and Mainlining but hopefully more console gaming. We’ll see!!

What I’ve Been Playing

Recent playings of the video games!

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means! Either I’m doing a favorite games OR a what I’ve been playing. And based on the title it’s a what I’ve been playing Wednesday!!!

So what have I been playing?

PC: HuniePop – You can thank my boyfriend for this one. I found it on his Steam and couldn’t help but play it. I legitimately called it his waifu for laifu game. Yeah, I’m just so nice πŸ˜› This game is hilarious and really entertaining. It’s a puzzle game for those who don’t know. A game where you complete puzzles to have successful dates with the women that you are trying to make fall in love with you. But really it’s just to get in their panties, let’s be honest. The puzzles get progressively difficult, you have the say the right things to the right girls, remember things that they tell you (which is hard when you have like seven girls), and complete the puzzle successfully in the deemed amount of moves. If you don’t you have a bad date and wasted some time and a (what will later be deemed) easy puzzle. I like it, I recommend it. It’s fun and very fun to make fun of πŸ˜›

GameCube: Sims 2 – I recently have been watching a YouTuber that I follow play this game and it pushed me to play it again. Oh my gosh. So much nostalgia. This game was so annoying but so much fun. It was different than the Sims on PC. How you ask? There was an actual story line. You used a controller. You had to do certain things to progress the game further and you didn’t stay living in one place. Sometimes you controlled all the Sims in the household and sometimes you did not. Which was an interesting concept to me, especially back then. I recommend highly for those who don’t want to delve completely in to the Sims pool. This is a good foot in to start with.

Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – This game is easily, in my opinion, the best Mario Kart game out. I instantly fell in love with Mario Kart 8 because it was both beautiful and fun. How cool is it to go zero gravity? Answer: REALLY COOL! I think the levels are the right balance of easy to medium to harder. You have a gradual curve especially within the cups. I also appreciated the fact that there wasn’t such a harsh learning curve when it came to the different cups. I have found in previous Mario Karts that the difference between 50cc and 100cc is way too much. The upgraded installment on the Switch adds a couple things that I had wished they had put in on the Wii U version such as multiple item slots. Having two item slots is like a complete game changer. It just adds so much more to the game. Like giving the person in first two opportunities to have coins instead of one πŸ˜‰ Go out and try it when you get the chance!

Not too many games this time around but at least I was able to squeeze some gaming time in! Better than nothing!

Share what you’ve been playing! Tell me what I absolutely have to try!

What I’ve Been Playing Wednesday!

Look at what I’ve been playing!

Another Wednesday, another day to talk about the video games that I have been playing recently! What a wonderful day!

Let’s just jump right on in.

PS4: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix – So, last time I said I was watching Mathew play this more but this time I played it more. Mathew has blown through the game up until Atlantica. And Atlantica was my favorite world, I absolutely love The Little Mermaid so much so of course I’m going to play this world. Well because Mathew has been such a boss and blown through the game, we areΒ slightly under leveled for big giant Ursula. And the constant dying while trying to beat her is both amazing and embarrassing. Of course the conclusion that we are under leveled only came after I died about five thousand times and Mathew about three. And of course I was beyond frustrated at that point so grinding to level up was the last thing I wanted to do so the controller went right back to my even-keeled man. And then shortly after we decided to be done for the time being but that’s besides the point πŸ˜›

PC: Broken Age –Β  I have a huge love, admiration, and respect for Double Fine. So naturally I must own and play all of their games right? It’s a no-brainer I picked up this game when it was on sale on Steam most recently. (It was like super cheap guys, great deal) As soon as I purchased the game and got it downloaded, I started playing it. I really enjoy the appearance of the game. Double Fine’s art and design is something that I think I love the most about their games. That and the enjoyable stories. This game specifically is wonderful because it’s two (so far) stories that you can swap back and forth between. This is great because with it being a point-and-click adventure, often times I find myself to get in those frustrating moments of not knowing what to do but not wanting to quit or look up the answer so I am then able to just swap to the other character and try to advance that story.

PC: Toontown Rewritten – Okay, so for those of you who do not know what Toontown is, your childhood was terrible. Just kidding. I grew up playing Toontown which was a MMORPG through Disney. It was very kid friendly. No cursing, no numbers to be used, you weren’t able to give personal information about yourself none of that, which was great for parents. Well the character in the game were toons; dogs, cats, horses, pigs, ducks and a couple others, I think. In tradition cartoon character style they had gloved hands and these were the good guys, the playable characters. You got to design your character some and pick a silly name and off you went. There were tasks to follow to help you along, your weapons were gags things like pies, squirting flowers, things to drop on foes, etc. You used your weapons on the bad guys which were called cogs, there were different types of bag guys, bossbots, lawbots, sellbots, and cashbots. They all made fun of boring adults in corporate America. You as your toon were basically fighting against the mundane corporate America with your happiness, laughter and gags. It was fun and silly and I absolutely adored this game as a child. Well in true Disney fashion they pulled the plug on the game and it all went away. Until I found project Toontown Rewritten. This project has brought the game that I loved to dearly back to life and I am able to play it whenever and for free. I go through period where I am all about the game and then won’t touch it because since its a MMORPG it’s very grindy and I personally can only take so much of that before I am bored and need to move on with something more stimulating to me. I currently have to defeat 900 cogs, 300 cogs in cashbot HQ, 100 5 story buildings, 150 4+ story buildings. So it’s quite a lot of the same thing over and over right now. πŸ˜‰

What have you been playing? Anything I should be playing? What do you think of these games?

Whatcha Been Playing Wednesdays!

What I have been playing recently!

Welcome and hello friends!

Funny how it’s gotten to be another Whatcha Been Playing Wednesday already! (Especially since I didn’t post it last week! ;))

So these past three weeks I have gotten a fair bit of gaming in. Mostly because it’s been three whole weeks! But it still is never as much as I want to get in. But I feel like even if all I did was eat, sleep, breathe games it still wouldn’t be enough for me.

Wii U: Paper Mario Color Splash – Surprise, surprise here right? πŸ˜› This game. Oh my goodness. I dread finishing but I am so excited to finish it. It is honestly getting to be a pain in my ass. Don’t get me wrong, I still absolutely love and enjoy the game. But. Yes, there is a but here. I’m starting to understand why there was hate for the game. As the game progressed it just seemed like developers were like, “Oh no, we need to make it more difficult but how?” Instead of focusing on a GREAT story line (don’t worry I do like the story line), they decided to add in upside down worlds, cooking elements and game shows. And honestly, the cooking part of it just made me straight up mad. Ask Mathew. He’ll tell you all about the rage-y messages I sent him while playing this. That moment actually helped pushed me over the soon after edge to rage quit. The fighting Larry on the train and him getting HP fed to him is so frustrating. All of that plus having to wait on a slow Toad to help you make it so Larry wasn’t being fed HP while throwing cards away was too much for me. At that moment. We will see when I cool off enough to pick the game back up. πŸ˜‰

PC: Golf With Your Friends – This game. Is so great and yet so frustrating. As I have said before, I really enjoy playing it with the boyfriend and just casually talking. But oh my gosh. Some of these levels I swear are made just to make you say all the cuss words in the book! I love this game because it’s different from most mini golf games. Plus I enjoy the challenge (for the most part). It makes me want to be ballsy-ier on certain levels to try and go for that hole in one. Or to kick Mathew’s butt. Either way. It sometimes works out for me. πŸ˜€

PC: Sims 4 – I knew it wasn’t a good idea to try to get my sim to have twins on my first go with toddlers. But yet, I did it anyway. Especially on a play through that I have decided to not use cheats on. So what did I do? Hired a nanny. Thank goodness for nannies. They help me keep my toddlers alive, not murder my husband and keep the social worker away. The bigger issue is (or non-issue as I will some times look at it) I knew that when I downloaded the Sims onto this PC that it was going to become my life. Well, as most of it as it can become has. But as much as I just want to go on and on and on about this, I’m not going to. I think I will save some of my crazy Sim times for a different blog post, that should be happening soon πŸ˜€

Not too much but I did spend a good chunk of my time on each game so that’s good!

Until next time, stay classy and sassy ❀
